PRASAT PHNOM BAYANGKO
Prasat Phnom Bayong is located in Po Roung village, Preah Bat Choan Chum commune, Kirivong district, Takeo province, abut121 km from Phnom Penh city. If we travel from Takeo, it’s only 43 km. Prasat Bayong is on the Bayong Mountain, 313 meters high and has 3 stairs, each with 90 steps. This temple was built during the 7th century from 615 to 635 by King Bhavavarman II, made by laterite, brick and limestone, which is 13 meters long, 9 meters wide and 12 meters high. In addition to Bayong temple, there are four nearby are Preah Ko Temple, Western Temple, East Temple and Kanong Temple, which are dedicated to Brahmanism because within the middle of the temple there is an ancient Isu Linga.
